REIKI

Reiki is a natural hands-on healing practice that supports the body’s self-healing ability and is often used as a complementary therapy to support the improvement of health and wellbeing.

It is much about transforming a person's overall energy from stress to neutral, so their body and self healing ability can function better.

How many treatments are needed? The simple answer is its not for me to know. There are many factors that affect how many treatments it will take to help you get to good health and wellbeing. One at a time and be conscious of what your body is telling you, is a good approach.

However, if you have some pain/trauma/illness then its worth considering having three treatments at approximately one or two weeks apart, then assess progress.

People have reported benefits such as:

  - reduced stress and pain

  - improved sleep

  - reduced anxiety and depression

  - replenished energy levels

  - feeling light, refreshed, and an enhanced sense of wellbeing

  - assists recovery from: injury, illness, surgery

  - lowered blood pressure

  - cold/flu gone within days

  - sore muscles repairing faster

  - brain fog cleared, more mental clarity to help make better choices

  - easier to process past trauma (acknowledge, express, accept, let go, etc.)

  - feeling very calm and peaceful afterwards

  - less stress, better able to handle situations that would usually cause stress

It helps people to be more self-conscious, enabling people to have more thought out responses to outward situations/stimuli, and therefore less automatic/habitual reactions - A sense of mental calm which allows people to pause for a moment and think 'How do I want to respond to this?'

Reiki can also be done by distance/remotely, if it's not convenient to have an in-person hands-on treatment.

Treatments are done lying down or sitting while fully clothed.

Children / teens must be accompanied by an adult relative or friend.

One treatment or a series may be required, depending on each person’s individual needs and many ongoing factors that can be discussed.

It's common for people to try one treatment and see how they respond, and discuss if more treatments are required.

For example: 1) if someone is only looking for relaxation or a boost in energy then quite likely one treatment would be enough. 2) if someone has long-term pain or stress or injury then its worth while having three treatments one or two weeks apart then assess progress.
